1. Financial benefits. There is 0% personal income tax in Dubai, meaning you get to keep more of what you earn. There is also 0% Capital Gains Tax - even on residential property. VAT is a standard 5% compared to 20% in the UK.
2. Low crime rate. Dubai and the UAE have relatively low crime rates compared to similar modern economies. On the majority of Crime Indexes, the city is seen as safer than London, Berlin, New York, Beijing and Sydney.
3. The climate. Many of our expats cited the good weather. All year round, the temperature remains warm to hot. It ranges from around 20°C in January to over 30°C in the summer months.
